Welcome to the new team members! So you made the team now what?
You should receive an Acceptance Email from the Club with instructions on how to accept a spot and pay your associated fees. Please keep in mind that you must complete the Acceptance and Payment process to complete the process.
Please visit our Forms page to print the required forms to bring to the first practice you attend. No need to bring the 'waiver' and US Lacrosse information again if you provided it at the tryout. If you need to locate your US Lacrosse Membership number please visit this US Lacrosse Member Search Page. Fill in the required information and your individual membership information will show at the bottom of the page. If you scan it, you get a print option to print it out for us.
You will receive emails with information about how to complete the purchase of your team uniforms as well as Spirit Wear. Please keep in mind that both orders are time sensitive and need to be completed as soon as you receive the notification to ensure that you will have them in time for tournaments.
In preparation for travel in the upcoming season please check our Travel Resources page to find out about team hotel arrangements and reservations for any tournaments requiring overnight stays.
As we get closer to the start of the season, keep an eye out for emails directly from the coaches regarding practice. Your coach will be the primary source of email updates during the season, so please let them know if you need additional email addresses added to their email list for the team. They initially will only send emails to the addresses used during the registration process.
For each team there will be a Team Representative (parent) that will assist with coordination of supplies being brought to each tournament. You should receive contact from them prior to the first tournament asking for volunteers to bring needed items.
Tournament schedules are typically finalized the Wednesday or Thursday prior to each tournament. They are dynamic in nature and can change day-to-day. Always prepare to arrive an hour before each game for warm-ups.
Players will be asked to Self Roster or register electronically prior to many tournaments. Be on the look out for these emails and please complete the rostering/registration process as soon as possible after receipt of the email. If you do not complete this process you may not be able to play in the tournament because the process includes completion of a liability waiver that is required to play.
At tournaments the Virginia United Teams will set up tents as a group when playing at the same field location.
Please note that players are expected to come to practice and be lacrosse ready with all required protective gear in place at the start of practice. Practice time is limited so we want to make the most of it.
